This “Midsummer Night's Dream” attempts to recapture the carnival theater vibe of Shakespeare's time. Actors move back and forth in the audience. There is no boundary between the stage, backstage and the auditorium.
The audience can enjoy watching the amazing moments of the characters and the actors/viewers when the actors go on and off the performing area. Audiences can witness how "one person" (actor) becomes "another person" (character) and how to let go. Actors can play with the transitions between "actors", "characters" and "audience".
The performance space is outdoors, the viewing angles are constantly changing as the play going on. In fact, the audience starts corporate with the crew from the first moment they enter the theater until they leave. It is a time of collective creation with the crew. A show in which the audience works together with all the performers.
My role is Hermia.
