"Iphigenia in Aulius" is adapted by the work of the Greek tragic play from Euripides.

On the eve of the departure of the Trojan War army, Agamemnon offended Artemis, the goddess of hunting, and the goddess prevented the army from going out of Aulius. The priest of the army predicted that Agamemnon must sacrifice his eldest daughter Iphigenia as a sacrifice in order to make the goddess quell her anger. Agamemnon pretended to marry his daughter to Achilles to deceive Iphigenia and her mother to set off for Aulius. Iphigenia has no idea that this is the journey to farewell the world.
