The unbearably hot city makes people feels like being bake in an oven. asphalt roads stink and shinning like iron skin. Only the frozen body could lie peacefully. In a city like this, desire is burning like heating in the oven, and the woman in the oven is craving to be noticed.
A housewife is too bored for waiting her husband from getting off his work everyday. One day, her husband got a fever and stay at home. The housewife start taking care of him like long time ago and she really enjoyed being needed by her husband. She decided to keep him home and tried to make his fever never get better. Only death is eternal.
"Burning" is a work presented by participating in the "Special Topics in Directing" of the Department of Drama, National Taipei University of the Arts. It is adapted from the short story "Burning" by the famous Taiwanese writer Yuan Qiong-Qiong.
Through collective creation, the actors and directors work together from scratch.
